Need a U Haul

I am now thinking that we might have to rent a U-Haul when we go back to Alabama for Christmas this year. What has led me to this conclusion is the insane amount of stuff we had to take just to spend a 6 hours away from home. We had to take the car carrier, [...]

Baby Update

Tuesday was Caleb’s 10 week birthday. Double Digits! He went to the doctor for his check-up, and he weighed 14 lbs and 10 ozs. He was 25 and a half inches long. He was 100% on the height and weight chart. Caleb had to get 5 shots at his visit. He was so brave. Much [...]

Welcome Abby / Shots for Caleb

Can’t believe I have a niece now! We still haven’t been able to see her in person, but we are going in couple days. In other news, Caleb got 5 shots today. When the nurse stuck him he cried like a little baby … I guess that is allowed though seeing as how … well [...]

Abby is coming

It’s 6:34 AM. My favorite sister Wendy is being induced into labor as I type. I think I’ll feel a little silly complaining about how I’m feeling today when my sister is pushing a baby through her…yes this is still a family friendly website. I can’t wait to see my niece Abby. Because I’m so [...]

One Big Boy

Caleb saw his doctor the other day for a check-up. Everyone was amazed when I put him on the scale. He weighed 14 pounds and 6 ounces at only 8 1/2 weeks. He has outgrown all of his 0-3 months clothes, and his 3-6 months clothes are almost too small. It is amazing how fast [...]

Tennis Tournament! Are You Kidding Me?

I haven’t swung a tennis rackett in at least two years. I haven’t played a decent match in about five. I remember of the glory days of high school tennis. When someone finds out that I used to play tennis in high school and just happened to be top seed on the team, they immediately [...]

Precious Sleep

When was the last time you have had eight straight hours of sleep? Caleb let Andy and me have that last night. He went to sleep at 9:45 pm and didn’t wake up until 6:15 am. It had been about 11 months since I have slept eight straight hours because during pregnancy I went to [...]

Bibs and Burp Cloths

As I was folding laundry this morning I realized that I folded 12 bibs and 14 burp cloths. This might not sound like much until you hear that I do Caleb’s laundry every morning. All of those bibs and burp cloths were just in one day. We have been knee-deep in spit-up around here for [...]

First Babysitter

Caleb had his first babysitter Sunday night so that Andy and I could go to a class at church. Caleb won’t be old enough to go to the nursery for two more weeks. We have left Caleb with his grandmom “Mimi” and his Aunt Kayla, but last night was the first time he was left [...]
