Growing up as a girl I never played with Legos. As the mom of boys the last two years of my life has been a crash course in all things Lego.

When the cold winds start to blow this winter, we’ll be cozying up to our new fireplace. Take a look at the dramatic before and after.

I bet you didn’t know how many sporting events you could actually play in your den when there’s no furniture in it: soccer, badminton, baseball, football, not to mention our fierce light saber duels and wrestling matches. We even have a ball pit. The kids love it. Andrew is crawling everywhere now.

Empty. That’s the feeling you get when you walk into our house. The mold hard truth forced us to toss our den’s fabric furniture.

Wasn’t sure what to title this post. I went back and forth on “The Mold and the Beautiful” and “Molded Masses Yearning to Breathe Free.”

Time is marching on, and the arrival of our baby boy is eminent. Here are a few quick photo highlights.

One of our last projects on our house was to do something to our heavily wooded backyard.

When we began looking at houses in Georgia, we weren’t too thrilled about having to live in a house that was older than we were. We lived in a new house in Texas, and so there weren’t many things to fix. But to in order to live close to where I work, we had to settle for a more “mature” house.

Life has been coming at us pretty fast over the last couple of months, but we’re finally feeling settled again. I won’t attempt to catch you up on everything, but I’ll give you a few tidbits.
